Schmidt does have a knack for improving individual players, and also get the team motivated and team spirit high.
He did pretty much lose every do or die match though.

The start with Roger was very very promising and we bolted out of the gates, then it went down after maybe half a year? The last few months we are looking up again.
All in all he has some special aura about his work but also leaves things to be desired in the results area. Us attacking against Real Sociedad while they needed the goal seemed a very poor choice resulting in our EL elimination. Schmidt is very adamant about offense and pressure, I don't think he can play a match to keep the zero or just neutralize the match.

Some would argue his rotation is bad because we never play the same eleven, but I would put forward we had injuries, corona, and a few bookings.

Also gave a lot of playing time for the numbers 15-20 in the squad. That made them develope too and gave better options in times of injuries etc.

And also some other coaches did the same, but nobody complained. Still bussy with a big datasheet, results will follow when the season is over.

Het is PSV niet gelukt om Hedwiges Maduro los te weken bij Almere City FC. De 37-jarige trainer en analist had een aanbod om trainer te worden op trainingscomplex De Herdgang en bij Jong PSV als assistent-coach aan de slag te gaan. Hij heeft PSV inmiddels laten weten daar niet op in te gaan.

Iedereen wilde dat hij ervaring bij clubs als Utrecht of Heerenveen ging opdoen. Waarom zouden zij hem zijn eerste klus als hoofdcoach geven. Die willen ook dat de hoofdcoach ervaring heeft.

Snap de keuze ook wel maar het blijft de trainer van een club die 13e staat in de Jupiler league.
 
Voor mij blijft het grootste belang dat het een people manager is. Geloof niet zo in tactisch genie en data. Ze krijgen allemaal hetzelfde geleerd. De toppers worden weggekaapt door andere teams. Tactisch en data genie is een gelukje voor ons. De voetballers moeten willen ballen en iedereen heeft een andere benadering nodig. En goed inkoop beleid.

Het is een enorme gok. Maar gezien de ervaring in de ts wordt er wat dat betreft op geanticipeerd.. ook de selectie zal aangepast worden. Ik verwacht veel wisselingen. En ook nog een nieuwe directeur. Ach, we lopen al jaren te klagen dat de bezem erdoor moest. Nu gebeurt er in ieder geval wat.
 
Nu Fraser naar utrecht gaat, is dat ook geen optie meer als mark Ruud Exit is in januari :cry:
